'Skylanders Academy' to premiere on Netflix this October

Netflix's has revealed the release date of its new original animated children's series ‘Skylanders Academy', which will premiere on the service on October 28.

The show, which is based on the popular video game franchise by Activision Blizzard, follows the adventures of Spyro, Eruptor, Stealth Elf, Jet-Vac and Pop Fizz, a group of heroes with special elemental skills.

The group travels the Skylands universe, where the show is set, protecting it from evil-doers and using their unique personalities to maintain harmony and peace.

‘Dodgeball' actor Justin Long will provide the voice of Spyro, ‘High School Musical' star Ashley Tisdale will voice Stealth Elf and Jonathan Banks from ‘Breaking Bad' will act as the voice of Eruptor. Additional cast members include Norm MacDonald, Susan Sarandon and Daniel Wu, among others.
