Sophie Turner, Boyd Holbrook & Simona Tabasco To Lead Sci-Fi ‘Cloud One’ For ‘Money Monster’ Outfit The Allegiance Theater – Cannes Market

EXCLUSIVE: Sophie Turner (Game Of Thrones), Boyd Holbrook (Narcos), and Simona Tabasco (The White Lotus) are set to star in director Goran Dukic’s sci-fi Cloud One, produced by The Allegiance Theater (Money Monster).

Fortitude International is launching sales on the project at Cannes. CAA Media Finance and WME Independent are co-repping the domestic rights of the film.

Independent Spirit nominee Dukic (Wristcutters: A Love Story) is directing from his own screenplay adapted from author Etgar Keret’s short story Windows. Daniel Dubiecki (Up In The Air) and Lara Alameddine (Money Monster) are producers.

The logline reads: “In a near future, a man wakes up in a room, without the recollection of who he is, or where he’s from. With only a phone, a typewriter, two windows, and an application called ‘The View’, he follows a virtual memory-inducing routine, but as the days go by, the border between virtual and reality begins to blur when he falls in love with his virtual subject.

The short story was first published in Playboy Magazine in 2015. This will mark author and filmmaker Etgar Keret’s third collaboration with Dukic. They first made Wristcutters, followed by the Sundance animated short What Do We Have in Our Pockets?, both of which Dukic adapted from Keret’s stories.

Dukic is best known for the Sundance Grand Jury Prize nominee, Wristcutters: A Love Story, Indie Spirit nominee Kneller Happy Campers, and Croatian film Nosila je Rubac Črleni, which won the Audience Award and Best Supporting Actor Award at Croatia’s Pula Film Festival.
