A third teenager has been charged with the murder of a man who was found unconscious in a churchyard in Wigan.

A 17-year-old from the Merseyside area – who cannot be named for legal reasons - has been charged with Joint Enterprise Murder after Steven McMyler, 34, was discovered outside Wigan Parish Church, Bishopgate, on 6 August.

Shortly before 7.50pm police were called by the ambulance service to reports of concern for a man outside the church.

Despite the best efforts of emergency services, McMyler died at the scene.
