Strictly Come Dancing started with a bang on Saturday night (17 October), treating us to a chic group number, fabulous costumes and - at last - news about this year's pairings.

From Good Morning Britain's Ranvir Singh dancing with Giovanni Pernice to Radio 1 DJ Clara Amfo getting teamed up with Aljaž Škorjanec, there are some glittering partnerships this year.

While it's only early days, fans of the show have taken to social media to give their perspective on the pairings, and one in particular is getting people talking due to their physical resemblance.

Made In Chelsea star Jamie Laing is dancing with Karen Hauer, and both are sporting a cropped, bright blonde hair style. As well as Claudia Winkleman pointing it out on the night of the launch show, viewers at home have commented on the fun similarity.

Strictly fans also used the first celebrity group number to scope out the ones to watch this series, and it seems like many think EastEnders star Maisie Smith, singer HRVY and The Wanted member Max George could go all the way.

On Twitter, some called a Maisie, HRVY and Max final, judging by their moves in the first group number.

But, of course, it's still all to play for, and many viewers have a good feeling about reigning champion Oti Mabuse's partnership with comedian Bill Bailey.

Fans enjoyed the couple's chemistry and think they're going to be providing lots of entertainment.

We'll see how the new pairings are progressing when Strictly's live shows start this weekend (24 October).

Strictly Come Dancing continues this Saturday on BBC One.
