SINGAPORE — Taylor Swift's exclusive six-night Southeast Asia concert stand at Singapore's National Stadium next March is fuelling immense demand, with over a million in virtual queue for presale tickets on Wednesday (5 July).

After only three hours, the pre-sale tickets were completely sold out.Concert organiser, AEG Presents Asia, took to Twitter around 3 pm to announce that the UOB Cardmembers pre-sale tickets for all six nights had been sold out.

Those who obtained an access code from Ticketmaster still have the opportunity to purchase tickets during the general sale, which will began at noon on Friday.

Fans of the American pop superstar, known as "Swifties", had eagerly awaited the presale for UOB card members, which commenced at 12 noon on Wednesday.

Some of them were plagued by technical glitches, hindering their access to the Ticketmaster website about an hour before the presale kick-off.

In a TikTok clip on Wednesday, user sagegreenogre filmed her screen showing the message "rate exceeded" when attempting to join the queue for the concert tickets on the website.

Over 1 million in virtual queue for tickets

Despite these early obstacles, the ticketing platform managed to rectify the problems before the start of the presale. The result: over one million in the Ticketmaster virtual queue for a chance to snag one of the estimated 300,000 tickets available for the six-day event.

According to their website, Ticketmaster assigns a random queue number to users accessing the ticketing link. This system is implemented to regulate the flow of traffic and ensure a fair purchasing experience while simultaneously preventing bot activities and unauthorised access.

Swift's "The Eras Tour" will be making stops in only two Asian cities: Singapore and Tokyo. In addition to her performances in Singapore, she will also be holding a concert at the renowned Tokyo Dome in February.

More than one million eager fans anxiously await their chance to secure tickets among the estimated 300,000 available for the six-day event.
