Quah Jing Wen, younger sister of national swimmers Quah Zheng Wen and Quah Ting Wen, will be heading to the United States to train and study later this year.

Jing Wen will be enrolling in Texas A&M and joining the swim team in August after the SEA Games in Kuala Lumpur, said a Straits Times report. At this year’s Women’s NCAA Championships, Texas A&M finished in third place overall, their highest ever in the programme’s history.

She is coming off a successful campaign at the Commonwealth Youth Games in Bahamas, where she won five golds and a silver. She will be taking part in four individual events and four relay events at the SEA Games.

The move follows in the footsteps of her older siblings. Brother Zheng Wen is at UC Berkeley and sister Ting Wen is a graduate from UCLA.
