Taylor Swift Donates $50,000 To Young Fan Who Has Cancer And Uses ‘Bad Blood’ As Her Fight Song

rachelannepilcher:

Taylor Swift has once again proven that she’s got some huge, kick-ass angel wings hidden away by donating a whopping $50,000 to one of her biggest fans who is sadly battling Leukemia.

That light you sometimes see around Swifty’s head? Yeah, that’s obviously HER GLOWING HALO.

Naomi Oakes is one heck of a TayTay fan (who isn’t, really), and was planning to attend the 25-year-old’s Phoenix concert with her BFF on August 18th, tickets for which she’d been given for Christmas.

Unfortunately, everything changed when the brave 11-year-old was diagnosed with Acute Myelogenous Leukemia on June 25.

Naomi now needs aggressive treatment, and won’t be able to leave the hospital for around six to nine months.

The inspirational youngster is preparing to battle the cancer with all her might though, with her family making an awesome video about her story and how much she loves Swifty, all using ‘Bad Blood’ as Naomi’s fight song.

A fantastic choice, if you ask us.

Here’s the video in all its glory:

Just two days after the family posted the video and asked for the ‘Taylor Nation’ to help get word to Tay herself, the singer responded in spectacular fashion.

Heading to Naomi’s GoFundMe page, TayTay casually popped several payments totalling $50,000 on there, along with a heartwarming message.

She wrote: “To the beautiful and brave Naomi, I’m sorry you have to miss it, but there will always be more concerts. Let’s focus on getting you feeling better. I’m sending the biggest hugs to you and your family.”

ALL OF THE FEELS.

Speaking about the donation, Naomi’s uncle, Robert Percival, told Utah’s KUTV that he “broke down and cried,” adding: “It’s just amazing that there’s somebody with her celebrity that would think about people and be able to donate. It’s just great.”

Oh, and Naomi herself has seen the donation and comment and her reaction was everything.

Clearly, and understandably, overwhelmed by the kind gesture, a video shows Naomi with a HUGE smile on her face saying: “I can barely breath. I seriously think I’m going to pass out.”

You’ll probably want some tissues for this one.

No, we’re not crying. We’ve just got something in our eye. Like a branch.

Thank you, Swifty, for continuing to be an actual angel. We’re sending all the love and get well wishes to Naomi and hoping she has a speedy recovery.

taylorswift is amazing as always.
