Navia wields a Geo Vision and uses a Claymore in battle. Meanwhile, Chevreuse has a Pyro vision but her weapon of choice aside from her trusty musket is unknown.

Even with all the excitement around Genshin Impact's upcoming version 4.2 update on Wednesday (8 November), developer HoYoverse has further boosted the hype for future content by revealing the two new characters coming in version 4.3 in mid-December: Navia and Chevreuse!

Navia should be a familiar face for players by now, being one of the most prominent figures in the Fontaine Archon Quest. Meanwhile, Chevreuse is an entirely new character that had not appeared in-game or in any promotional material prior to her reveal.

Based on the drip marketing for version 4.2, which revealed the 5-star Furina and the 4-star Charlotte, we can expect Navia to be a 5-star and Chevreuse to be a 4-star.

Here's everything we know about Navia and Chevreuse so far!

Navia is the current leader of the Spina di Rosula — an organisation in Fontaine dedicated to investigating the cases the nation's authorities find difficult — having inherited the position from her late father Callas.

Navia was first revealed in the “Overture Teaser: The Final Feast” back in July. The Traveler's first meeting with Navia came during Act I of the Fontaine Archon Quest, 'Prelude of Blancheur and Noirceur', where she assisted them in proving Lyney and Lynette were innocent after the pair were framed for murder and kidnapping during their magic show in the Opera Epiclese.

In Act II, 'As Light Rain Falls Without Reason', the Traveler would also help Navia prove that her late father was framed for the murder that led to his death. Navia also appeared in Neuvillette's Story Quest to help the Traveler investigate threats being levied against a Melusine member of the Marechaussee Phantom.

Navia is a beloved figure in Fontaine, thanks in large part to her bubbly demeanor and the assistance provided by the Spina di Rosula to the nation's people over the years. With that said, she used to harbor animosity towards Neuvillette and Clorinde, as Neuvillette stood by while her father faced judgment while Clorinde was the one to kill him in a duel. However, Navia would come to reconcile with both characters after Act II of the Fontaine Archon Quest.

We know that Navia wields a Geo Vision and uses a Claymore in battle, as seen in the 'At the Tempest's Crux' cutscene. She will also be the game's seventh Geo character, ending the almost two-year drought of new Geo characters after Yun Jin was released in version 2.4 in January 2022.

Navia has been one of the fan-favourite characters of the Fontaine cast so far, and we're definitely excited to see how she will reinvigorate the oft-neglected Geo element!

Chevreuse

Chevreuse is the captain of the Special Security and Surveillance Patrol, an elite task force under the Maison Gardiennage, Fontaine's law enforcement service.

Since Chevreuse did not appear in 'the Final Feast' teaser and has yet to make an in-game appearance, what little we know of her comes from a few voice lines from playable characters and NPC's about her.

In one of Freminet's voice lines, he says that Chevreuse is a frequent customer at the Beaumont Workshop to purchase expensive materials to maintain her musket. Wriothesley also describes Chevreuse as quite the imposing figure, saying that most inmates at the Fortress of Meropide seem to gain a new level of respect for the rules after receiving attention from the Special Security and Surveillance Patrol.

According to the NPC Riqueti, Chevreuse has a certain distaste for the Gardemeks, scarcely including them in the Patrol's ranks and claiming they only "block our bullets".

Chevreuse wields a Pyro Vision, though it is unknown what weapon she uses. Her splash art notably features her wielding a musket, which points towards it being a prominent part of her kit. Chevreuse is also the second playable character known to wield guns in battle after Clorinde.

While we know very little about Chevreuse so far, we're definitely excited to get to know her. She has a very distinct look, with striking purple hair and an eye patch, and wields a musket! What's not to love?

Navia and Chevreuse will be making their debut as playable characters in Genshin Impact version 4.3, which is expected to be released in mid-December. Before that though is version 4.2, which features the debuts of Furina and Charlotte as well as the climax of the Fontaine Archon Quest.

Genshin Impact version version 4.2 will be released on 8 November. For more details on what's to come in this new update, check out the full preview livestream here.
