Toe the line, PAS leader tells members – Bernama

Kelantan perlu hantar semula notis bentang hudud, kata Mohd Amar

Kelantan deputy Menteri Besar Datuk Mohd Amar Nik Abdullah urged party members and leaders to abide by the directives of the PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang, and obey all decisions made in meetings of the party's top leadership.

Amar, when making the recommendation, also said all differences of opinion among party members must be managed properly.

"Although, we respect our friends in the opposition pact, PAS members must act according to party policy.

"It is the authority of the president to decide on the direction of PAS," he said in Klang today.

Amar, who is also Kelantan PAS Deputy Commissioner 1, drew attention that Kelantan vowed to implement hudud in the state and as such, PAS members should not support suggestions to postpone or reject the implementation of hudud in Kelantan.

Hadi had submitted a notice of motion to Dewan Rakyat on March 18 to table a private member's bill to implement hudud in Kelantan.

Meanwhile, Klang PAS division chief, Mohd Prasad Hanif, said the general meeting of the Klang division today unanimously supported the ulama leadership of the party by nominating Hadi as party president in the polls in June.

He said the delegates were confident the leadership of the ulama should be headed by Hadi who had brought big victories to PAS since becoming president.

Prasad also rapped DAP, which had cut off relations with Hadi over hudud, and seen as contradictory to democratic practices.

For the post of deputy president, the PAS Klang division nominated Datuk Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man.

Amar, Selangor PAS Commissioner, Datuk Iskandar Abdul Samad, and Temerloh MP, Nasrudin Hasan were each nominated for the vice-president's posts. – Bernama, March 29, 2015.
