Tony Leung sings for "Horseplay"

17 Mar – Hong Kong actor Tony Leung Ka-fai admitted that he was more nervous about recording the theme song to his new movie, "Horseplay", rather than acting in it.

According to East 38, the actor, who recorded the song, "Why Not Tonight" with his co-stars Ekin Cheng and Kelly Chen, stated that he spent more time in the recording studio to improve his singing.

The three stars also filmed the music video for the song, which is a remake of Henry Mancini's "The Pink Panther" theme song, "It Had Better Be Tonight" (1963).

"I was thinking about Aaron Kwok when shooting the music video," said the actor, light-heartedly. "He is my rival in this. I hope that I can be better than he is!"

Meanwhile, "Horseplay", directed by Lee Chi Ngai, is a comedy heist movie starring Tony Leung Ka-fai, Ekin Cheng, Kelly Chen, Eric Tsang, and Wong Cho-lam.

Tony plays a retired thief who was blackmailed into stealing an ancient horse relic from an auction held in Czech Republic, while Detective Cheung Ho (played by Ekin Cheng) is determined to catch him once and for all.

"Horseplay" will be released in cinemas on 21 March.
