Track fault causes delay on East West Line
Update 10.20am: SMRT announced that the delay had been resolved.
A track fault led to a delay on the East West Line (EWL), SMRT announced on social media on Monday morning (9 April) soon after 7.30am.
The delay continued through the morning rush hour, with delays of up to 25 additional minutes of train travel time westbound between Clementi and Joo Koon stations.
Soon after 10.15am, the rail operator tweeted that train service on the EWL had resumed. It added that trains were running normally again.
[EWL] UPDATE: Due to a track fault, pls add 25mins train travel time from #Clementi to #JooKoon towards #JooKoon. We are working to recover svc.
