Train delay on East West Line causes crowds at stations
Commuters along the East West line were caught in a train delay on Tuesday morning (19 Sept).
Several commuters posted photos on social media showing long queues at stations along the East-West Line including Pasir Ris, Tampines, and Tanah Merah since 8:30am. Some claimed they waited up to 30 minutes before boarding a train. According to Yahoo News Singapore intern Gabriel Choo, who was at Tampines MRT, the crowds began forming before 9am.
There were no announcements on SMRT’s social media pages.
