A 32-year-old man has been arrested for driving against the flow of traffic while making a U-turn at the entrance of Marina Coastal Expressway (MCE) on Friday (17 March).

Traffic Police said in a statement that a trailer truck had driven dangerously along East Coast Parkway (ECP) towards MCE (Ayer Rajah Expressway) earlier in the morning. The identity of the male driver was established and he was arrested swiftly, TP added.

In a video posted on the Facebook page of Beh Chia Lor – Singapore Road, a blue and red trailer truck was seen going against the flow of traffic at the entrance of westbound MCE from ECP around 8am on Friday. The truck was on the last lane before it made a U-turn, with a number of cars halting while it cut across several lanes.
