Uber reveals route maps from 100 cities

Chauffeured car service app Uber has released maps of its most popular routes in 100 cities as part of the ‘Uber 100' concept.

The maps include locations ranging from Honolulu and Cape Town to Paris and Tokyo. They demonstrate the most popular areas of each city, presumably for nightlife, and show interesting residential patterns.

Released to celebrate the launch of Uber in Beijing, taking the brand's total number of cities served up to 100, the maps show just how the transport app has taken off over the world.

Each city's route plan appears on an interactive global map and can be viewed or downloaded individually.

First launched in 2010, the concept allows users to order and pay for chauffeured car rides via smartphone, after being provided with a tailored quote.

Uber has sparked similar services, with apps such as GetTaxi and Chauffer Privé taking off across the US and Europe.
