Ukrainian forces hit Russian S-300 and S-400 missile systems in Crimea

Ukrainian defense forces struck Russian S-300 and S-400 air defense systems in the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea on the night of June 10, Ukraine’s Armed Forces General Staff reported.

The precision strikes targeted one S-400 system near Dzhankoi and two S-300 systems near Chornomorske and Yevpatoria.

None of the missiles launched by Ukraine were intercepted by Russian defenses, Ukrainian General Staff said.

Russian forces immediately shut down the radars of the S-300 and S-400 systems after the strikes.

The attacks led to further detonations of ammunition in all three targeted areas, causing significant losses for the Russian forces, Ukrainian military officials said.

Explosions were reported throughout Crimea on the night of June 10, leading to temporary closures of the Crimean Bridge.

Russian state media claimed that the peninsula was attacked by ATACMS missiles.

This incident follows a similar attack on May 15, where an S-400 system in Crimea was destroyed, the Russian Telegram channel ASTRA reported.
