Is sharing this unfortunate picture becoming a new Thanksgiving 'tradition'?

In 2012, a Spider-Man float fell on an Uncle Sam float during the 86th annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York, creating possibly the worst kind of imagery imaginable.

Since then, the image has resurfaced every Thanksgiving day as a popular meme that provides much amusement on social media.

This year, the picture was posted on comedy show The Soup’s Facebook page with the caption, “Oh Yeah. Spidey is starting his Thanksgiving feast early.”

The post has since been liked by more than 700 users and shared more than 140 times. Over 60 users took to the comments thread to share their thoughts.

One user commented on the Facebook post, “More than just his spidey senses are tingling now.”

Another user commented, “Spider-man, Spider-man, doing whatever a spider can… to make a living.”

Another added, “Tastes like freedom.”

Only time will tell if the sharing of this image becomes as much a tradition as carving the turkey and watching NFL matches, but for now it's one of the most fun parts of Thanksgiving on the Internet.
