BUSINESSES

- NSK Seremban, Negeri Sembilan

The hypermarket was closed from Feb 13 after Covid-19 cases were detected among staff.

The notice by the Health Ministry stated that it was to close until Feb 20, but it was allowed to reopen today after disinfection and screening was completed, China Press reported.

- Jaya Grocer, Jaya 33, Petaling Jaya, Selangor

An employee here tested positive via a Rapid Antigen Test for Covid-19 yesterday, the supermarket said.

The employee works in the goods and receiving department and was last at the store on Feb 12.

The supermarket is temporarily closed from 6.30pm yesterday so all staff can be tested using the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test.

It will reopen on Feb 18 with staff who tested negative and are not close contacts with the infected employee, it said.

- Various businesses in Sarawak

The Sarawak Disaster Management Committee releases a daily list of locations visited by Covid-19 patients days before testing positive for the virus.

Below is the latest list:

- Public Bank branches in Setapak, Kuala Lumpur and Bukit Tinggi, Selangor

These branches are temporarily closed for disinfection from Feb 15 after four employees in Setapak and one employee in Bandar Bukit Tinggi tested positive for Covid-19 between 12 Feb and 14 Feb.

The bank said all employees who came into contact with the affected staff are under home quarantine.

- Public bank branches at Pandan Indah and Kuchai Lama, Kuala Lumpur

These branches are temporarily closed for disinfection after employees tested positive for Covid-19 in the period between Feb 3 and 8, the bank said.

All employees who had contact with the affected staff underwent screening and are in quarantine.


EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS

- SK Kidurong 2, Bintulu Sarawak

A cluster of 12 cases have been detected here, the Sarawak government said.

The index case is a 36-year-old woman who tested positive on Feb 9.

- Kolej Teknologi Sarawak, Kuching, Sarawak

An employee here tested positive for Covid-19, the Sarawak Disaster Management Committee said.

The employee was last at work on Feb 11 to 13, from 7am to 4pm.


RESIDENCES

- Felda Triang 3, Bera, Pahang

Nine residents screened here have tested positive for Covid-19, Defence Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob said.

As such, the area is placed under enhanced movement control order from today until March 3, he said.

It will involve the Perumahan Kelapa Sawit and Taman Lamanda Permai areas, affecting 1,356 residents.

- Kampung Jawa, Segamat

A resident tested positive when screened before surgery at Segamat Hospital, China Press reported.

The woman, 70, was to undergo surgery after she fractured her leg in a car accident.

She is asymptomatic and was reported to have rarely left her home, the daily reported.

- Rumah Banyang, Nanga Lijan, Julau, Sarawak

A cluster of cases was detected at this longhouse, the Sarawak Disaster Management Committee said.

The Nanga Lijan cluster also involves close contacts at a local supermarket, the committee said.

The index case was detected on Feb 1, when he visited the local Klinik Kesihatan to seek treatment for fever and cough which started on Jan 27.

An enhanced movement control order has been imposed on the longhouse until Feb 21.

The management said in a notice to residents dated Feb 17, sighted by Malaysiakini, that a Covid-19 case had been detected at Block B.

It assured that possibly contaminated areas have been disinfected.


CARE HOMES

- High Q Senior Enrichment Centre, Sibu, Sarawak

The manager of this nursing home told Malaysiakini there have been over 40 Covid-19 cases detected here.

The cases are likely to be linked to the Jalan Geronggang cluster, a new high-risk cluster which was announced by the Health Ministry yesterday.


GOVERNMENT BUILDINGS

- Gita, Sekama and Tabuan police stations, Kuching, Sarawak

Up to 109 police personnel at these police stations underwent Covid-19 testing and are in quarantine after contact with two individuals who tested positive for the virus.

Those affected are 10 officers and 99 other personnel from the Criminal Investigation Department, including police escorts and lock up wardens, Bernama reported.

The infected persons were among a group of nine arrested for involvement in a street fight at Jalan Green on Sunday (Feb 14).

A third suspect is also symptomatic and is awaiting the results of a second Covid-19 test, while six others tested negative and are in the lock-up.

- Julau Post Office, Sarawak

A customer who visited here on Feb 3 has tested positive for Covid-19, the Sarawak Disaster Management Committee said.


PLACES OF WORSHIP

- Surau Unigarden, Samarahan, Sarawak

An individual who tested positive for Covid-19 visited this surau on Feb 13, the Sarawak Disaster Management Committee said.


MEDICAL FACILITIES

- Klinik Pergigian Labis, Johor

The public dental clinic is closed from Feb 16 to 18 for disinfection due to Covid-19 infection among staff.

This is according to a notice at the clinic by the Segamat Dental Services Office, China Press reported.

The daily reported the infected staff had travelled to Klang and Subang in Selangor for family reasons earlier this month and developed symptoms two days after returning.

All who had close contact with her have been tested and isolated.

- Bagan Specialist Centre, Penang

Five staff tested positive for Covid-19 on Feb 15, the medical centre said.

The staff have been isolated, while other personnel who had close contact have been tested and quarantined.

The affected areas have been disinfected, and operations resumed today, the centre said.


OFFICES

- Public Bank Tower, Johor Bahru and Bangunan Public Bank, Kuala Lumpur

Level 2 and 14 of Public Bank Tower, Johor Bahru and Level 14 of Bangunan Public Bank, Kuala Lumpur are temporarily closed for disinfection.

This is after several staff members tested positive for Covid-19 in the period of Feb 3 to 8, the bank said.

All employees who had contact with the affected staff underwent screening and are in quarantine.
