Upper Serangoon Road closed due to burst water pipe
Northbound Upper Serangoon Road was closed to traffic early Monday morning (30 October), PUB, Singapore’s national water agency, announced on social media shortly after 5am. It said: “Urgent pipe repair works at Upper Serangoon Road (towards Sengkang/Hougang), after Braddell Road. All lanes closed. Motorists are advised to consider alternate routes.”

Later, the Singapore Police Force (SPF) announced that Upper Serangoon Road had been closed after the junction of Wolskel Road because an “underground water pipe burst”.

Both PUB and SPF later announced around 8.08am that the left lane of Upper Serangoon Road was made passable to traffic.
Last month, a burst pipe in Bukit Batok led to a “fountain” several stories high.
