Israel's President Praises Peres's Vision and Imagination

Israeli President Reuven Rivlin mourned the death of former leader Shimon Peres on Wednesday, September 28. “It is a sad day for all of us,” Rivlin said. Peres, he said, was a leader who “carried the whole nation on the wings of imagination, on the wings of vision.” Rivlin said the Israeli people “loved him dearly.”

Peres died at the age of 93 on Wednesday, September 28. His condition had deteriorated sharply in recent weeks after he suffered “irreversible brain damage” in a stroke, according to The Times of Israel, quoting Peres’s doctor. Credit: YouTube/President Reuven Rivlin
