Oregon Zoo Animals Enjoy Playing in the Snow

Animals at the Oregon Zoo in Portland enjoyed the snowstorm that dusted the city on Thursday, December 8.

About an inch or two of snow fell in the city by Thursday afternoon before freezing rain began to fall, leaving the city coated in a sheet of ice, according to reports. The ice lasted through Friday morning, knocking out power to thousands, triggering car crashes and delaying flights at the airport.
