Netanyahu Compares West Bank Shooting to Oregon College Murders

In a meeting with US Secretary of State John Kerry, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Friday, October 2, compared a drive-by shooting in the West Bank to the mass killing at an Oregon community college earlier in the week, saying the world should no longer accept terrorist acts.

“Today, Israel and America are united in grief,” Netanyahu said in a meeting during the UN General Assembly. Netanyahu was referring to a shooting on Thursday of an Israeli couple near Itamar on the West Bank.

Officials say the Oregon shooter acted alone without connection to a terrorist cause in the Thursday killings at Umpqua Community College in Roseburg, Oregon.
