WeChat Pay embarks on first mall partnership in Singapore with Bugis Junction and Bugis+

By becoming WeChat Pay mall partners, Bugis Junction and Bugis+ will promote cashless payments and enhance shopper convenience

WeChat Pay, the mobile payment solution by messaging app WeChat, announced today its collaboration with Singapore shopping malls Bugis Junction and Bugis+. As a result, shoppers can enjoy exclusive benefits whenever they transact using WeChat Pay in participating retail outlets.

The campaign will be officially launched on October 1 and will continue until October 7, which coincides with Chinese Golden Week holiday in Singapore.

Bugis Junction and Bugis+ are both located in the heart of Singapore’s Civic and Cultural District, and have been destinations for local and overseas shoppers for its shopping and F&B options.

“Bugis Junction and Bugis+ are particularly popular with young Chinese tourists due to our central location. We are delighted to partner with WeChat Pay to serve the needs of this growing customer segment,” said Ivy Ang, General Manager, Bugis Junction/Bugis+.

WeChat Pay, a payment service integrated into social media app WeChat, is one of the leading mobile payment solutions in China. It is currently available in over 40 countries in 13 currencies and has over 800 million monthly active users.

The exclusive promotions by Bugis through WeChat Pay has started from September 21 until December 31, 2018.
