SINGAPORE — A 45-year-old man was found motionless at the foot of a Punggol Field HDB block on Wednesday (10 February), hours after the body of the woman he supposedly attacked was found at a void deck in Tampines.

The police said in a press release that they were alerted to the stabbing incident at Block 206 Tampines Street 21 at about 6.30am.

Upon arrival, officers found a 42-year-old woman injured with slash wounds to her neck and lying motionless at the void deck of the block.

At about 9.10am, the man, believed to be her assailant and known to the woman, was found motionless at the block of his flat at Block 205 Punggol Field.

Both individuals were unconscious when separately conveyed to the hospitals and died later.

Investigations into the unnatural deaths are ongoing, the police added.

Images of an official document and a photo of the injured woman were circulated online and on several messaging platforms on Wednesday. The police said that it was “looking into the unauthorised circulation of the image of the official document” and urged the public to stop circulating the media out of respect for the deceased individuals and their families.
