With community infections of the coronavirus seemingly on the rise again, Singapore's multi-ministry task force on Tuesday (4 May 2021) announced it would roll back some liberties. Beginning 8 May, the cap on social gatherings would be reduced to 5 persons once more, while indoor gyms and health studios would close. Workplace attendance would be capped at 50%.

Furthermore, the Singapore authorities are not ruling out the possibility of entering the Republic into another "circuit breaker" period to stop the spread of COVID-19.

Considering the newly-announced measures – preliminarily set to end on 30 May – and the community spread of COVID-19 variants, are you worried about circuit breaker making a return? Or, are you confident that the measures combined with people's compliance will be enough to avoid it? Have your say in our poll below!
