The Indonesian virtual assistant service has announced that it will halt services for an “indefinite time” starting October 31
Another shocking news has hit the Indonesian startup scene. Virtual assistant service YesBoss today announced on its social media platforms that it is going to shut down services “for an indefinite time” starting October 31.
Prior to the shutdown, the announcement stated that YesBoss is going to change its working hours from 7AM-11PM to 11AM-8PM starting from October 1. Customers will be able to continue using the service as usual before the aforementioned closing dates.
The company mentioned that it is currently “preparing something new” for its customers in their official statement.

Meanwhile, the internet has gone wild with speculations, with a pivot being the most popular likelihood.
Launched in June 2015, YesBoss was founded by Irzan Raditya, Chris Franke, Wahyu Wrehasnaya, and Reynir Fauzan. It raised an undisclosed seed round in October 2015 by 500 Startups, IMJ Investment Partners, and Convergence Ventures.
On March, YesBoss announced an acquisition of Philippines-based startup HeyKuya, which provided a similar service. After the acquisition, HeyKuya would be known as YesBoss Philippines, marking the company’s expansion to the regional market.
In its early days, YesBoss is often compared to fellow virtual assistant service HaloDiana. HaloDiana closed down its service in April 2016.
