The VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT) APAC Challengers Finals is coming and Riot has a special treat for its fans on Sunday (27 March).

Filipino-Australian singer Ylona Garcia will be giving an exclusive performance on the last day of the competition, Riot announced ahead of the finals.

The VCT 2022 is the second official tournament circuit for VALORANT by developer Riot Games. This year's VCT started off with qualified teams competing with others within their region in the Challengers stage.

The VCT APAC Challengers Stage 1 had a total of 20 teams competing against each other in the Play Ins and Group Stages.

The top 8 teams are moving forward to the Finals Knockouts starting 24 March, before the champion of the APAC region is crowned in the Finals on 27 March.

Garcia made a splash in the VALORANT community as the singer and songwriter for “Entertain Me,” the theme song for the game's latest agent, Neon.

“It’s an incredible honour to have “Entertain Me” be the anthem for Neon - it means so much to me to be able to highlight the Filipino culture alongside the introduction of Neon. The fans’ love for the song makes me even more excited to perform it at VCT, and I’m truly grateful to how they’ve embraced not only the song but me as an artist as well,” Garcia said in a Q&A session.

Neon is the first Southeast Asian (and Filipino) agent in the game.

Introduced in January, Neon has unique abilities, electricity-based powers, as well as incredible speed. Neon’s trailer also featured Ylona’s song “Entertain Me".

“To be able to highlight the Filipino culture alongside the introduction of Neon is an honor. Personally, I don’t think I can relate to Neon, as she is MUCH cooler than I am! But I think many other girls including myself, aspire to be as brave and powerful as she is,” added Garcia.

Neon is also voiced by Filipino voice actress Vanille Velasquez. The release of Neon was a cultural milestone for VALORANT across the world, particularly in Southeast Asia, where she was been warmly received by the region, especially in the Philippines.

Since its first release earlier this year, Neon's Agent trailer has received almost 8 million views.

Aside from Ylona's VCT APAC Playoffs Finals performance, a limited number of VALORANT esports fans will be able to meet Ylona in a virtual backstage AMA session.

Fans who are interested can sign up on Tier One Entertainment's Facebook and Twitter pages.

The exclusive AMA session and Ylona’s VCT Finals performance will be posted online on VALORANTesports’ local social channels for Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia and Singapore, as well as Taiwan.
