Yu Zheng sued for plagiarism again
23 Dec - After losing the plagiarism case filed by Taiwanese novelist Chiung Yao, mainland producer Yu Zheng is now embroiled in another lawsuit of similar matter against another author.
According to CRI News, writer Zhou Haohui has recently filed a plagiarism lawsuit against the scriptwriter-turned-producer at the Yangzhou Intermediate People's Court for allegedly stealing parts of his novel, "The Evil Hypnotist" for Yu's 2014 series, "Cosmetology High".
If no out-of-court settlement is reached, the hearing will begin in a month's time.
In an interview with the media recently, Zhao stated that he is looking forward to the trial.
Yu recently lost his appeal in the plagiarism case won earlier by Chiung Yao. The Taiwanese author previously accused Yu's series, "Palace 3: The Lost Daughter" of plagiarising her novel, "Plum Blossom Scar" .
