Zac Efron Has a Sweet Reaction to Costars Ashley Tisdale and Vanessa Hudgens Being Pregnant at the Same Time

The actor, 36, reveals his thoughts on both his former co-stars expanding their families

Zac Efron is excited to expand the Wildcat family!

While walking the carpet in Los Angeles at the premiere of his new film A Family Affair, the actor shared his thoughts on his High School Musical costars Ashley Tisdale, 38, and Vanessa Hudgens, 35, being pregnant at the same time.

“Oh they’re going to be the best moms ever,” he excitedly told Access Hollywood on the carpet. “Those girls, are you kidding me? Oh my gosh.”

He continued to hint at a reunion featuring both actresses and their families. “Yeah we’re going to have some fun family reunions coming up,” he added.

Tisdale is expecting her second baby with husband Christopher French, while Hudgens is expecting her first baby with husband Cole Tucker, 27.

Kenny Ortega, 74, who directed the musical trilogy, also recently shared his excitement over the soon-to-be moms. The filmmaker opened up to PEOPLE at the 2024 Cam for a Cause Gala on Sunday, June 2 about the actresses’ pregnancies.

“I love that they're pregnant at the same time. Hopefully, those little girls get a chance to meet one another and grow up together and become friends,” Ortega told PEOPLE.

He adds, “Oh, I think both of them are ready. I mean, Ashley was so ready for her first child, and I think Vanessa, same. I think they're really excited, really, truly excited to be mothers.”
