Obama warns Russia against further Ukraine advance

THE HAGUE, Netherlands (AP) — President Barack Obama says the United States is concerned about further encroachment by Russia into Ukraine.

Obama says that would be a bad choice for Russian President Vladimir Putin to make. He says there's another path available to Russia.

Obama is speaking at a joint news conference with Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte amid a flurry of diplomatic activity in the Netherlands. Obama says world leaders have created the framework for additional costs to be imposed on Russia if it takes the next step by moving further into Ukraine.

Obama says he believes if Ukrainians have a choice, they'd seek to have a relationship with both Europe and Russia. He says it's not a zero-sum game.

Obama says the U.S. is not recognizing Russia's annexation of Crimea.
