New Electronic Road Pricing rates at five areas in Singapore will take effect from Monday.

New Electronic Road Pricing rates at five areas in Singapore will take effect from Monday.

The Land Transport Authority (LTA) said on Tuesday it is adjusting the rates after completing its quarterly review of traffic conditions on ERP-priced roads and expressways.

Motorists that pass the gantries on the East Coast Parkway (ECP) into the city and the KPE slip road into the ECP will pay lower rates. From 7:30am to 8am, they will have to pay $2 instead of $3. From 8.30am to 9am, they will pay $4, down from $6. From 9am to 9.30am, they will not have to pay at all as the current $1 rate will be dropped.

At the gantry along the ECP eastbound (before KPE), from 6pm to 6.30pm, motorists will not have to pay to pass the gantry. From 7pm to 7:30pm, they will be charged $1, down from $2.

Motorists passing through the gantries at MCE westbound before the exit to Maxwell Road and on the slip road into Marina Coastal Drive, will pay lower rates in the morning. From 8:30am to 9am, they will have to pay $4, down from $6, and from 9am to 9:30am, they will not have to pay.

At the two gantries along the MCE eastbound before the exit to Central Boulevard and at the slip road from Marina Boulevard, motorists that pass through between 7pm and 7:30pm will pay $1, down from $2. From 7.30pm to 8pm, they will not have to pay.

There will be increased ERP rates at the four gantries along Southbound CTE after Braddell Road and at the PIE slip road into Southbound CTE. Motorists that pass through from 7am to 7.30am will have to pay $2, up from $1.

The new rates will take effect next Monday, while the rates for other gantries will remain unchanged.

The next ERP review will take place in May 2014.
