Arie Luyendyk Jr. Admits Feeling Like He May Have 'Rushed' Vasectomy as He Talks Possibility of More Kids

The former Bachelor is dad to daughter Alessi, 4, and 2-year-old twins Senna and Lux

Arie Luyendyk Jr. is not ruling out expanding his family in the future.

In a Q&A on his Instagram Stories, the former Bachelor, 42, was asked by a fan if he and his wife Lauren Burnham, 32, whom he met on his season of The Bachelor, would want more kids in the future. Luyendyk Jr. and Burnham are already parents to daughter Alessi, 4, and twins Senna and Lux, 2.

"A year ago I would have said 100% no way but im feeling more and more like I rushed the vasectomy," Luyendyk Jr. wrote over a picture of Alessi. "Don't know yet what the future holds but rn im loving this stage with them."

In February 2022, Burnham posted a YouTube video that featured footage from Luyendyk Jr.'s vasectomy day. In her 16-minute vlog, the Bachelor alum revealed her husband was "white as a ghost," before the procedure, adding, "I thought he was going to faint. He was literally ripping his hair out."

Burnham — who was in the room while Luyendyk Jr. underwent his vasectomy — said it was "exciting" to see "everything," but shared that it was also "very awkward" to watch.

She explained that she and Luyendyk Jr. made a joint decision about the vasectomy, explaining, "Other than the fact that I birthed three children, had a C-section and all that, it was kind of his turn."

"I'm also very sensitive to hormonal birth control. Weirdly enough, it causes mild depression for me so that was hard for us when I've done that in the past," she continued. "I'd get really sad and it's not good for anyone."

That previous October, the Bachelor star confirmed he would be undergoing the procedure. Although he said that he was "obsessed" with his children, he told The Ben and Ashley I. Almost Famous Podcast that parenting had been "difficult" with two new babies.

"We just felt a little bit, like, overwhelmed," he said, "so we decided as a couple that three is enough. I think we're so happy because we have our boy, we have the two girls. And I'm already 40, guys — I can't be having kids any later than this in life. I wanna be an active dad. So I think three is okay."
