Billie Eilish Jokes She's "Never Dating Again" In Extended 'Rolling Stone' Interview

ICYMI, Billie Eilish recently dropped a new album called Hit Me Hard and Soft (not Plainville), and I can confidently confirm it's beautiful, cinematic, and lined up with certified bops. Ahead of its release, the Grammy and Oscar winner promoted her latest project with an intimate Rolling Stone cover story and got candid about the process of creating with her brother and producer, Finneas, as well as her journey with mental health and her sexuality.

Since the cover dropped in April, Rolling Stone published a series of highlights that didn't make the final story—including Billie's (incredibly real) revelation when it comes to dating in the modern age. "I plan on never dating again," the "Chihiro" singer joked. "That's not true, obviously. But no, I don't see myself being serious with anyone until I find someone that really feels right to me, and that is not interesting to me right now." The current dating pool has been... questionable lately, so! I don't blame her!

Billie was last romantically linked to The Neighbourhood frontman Jesse Rutherford before they split in May 2023. Rolling Stone's outtakes also confirmed that she's still cool with her ex as she mused, "That's my guy, truly one of my favorite people in the world."

Most recently, the musician performed her new track, "Lunch," on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert and reflected on her growth in the public eye. "I kind of needed to play this whole thing of 'I'm not what you think I am,'" she said. "I thought at the time that it was very me and I realize in hindsight I was just trying to be seen and express myself and show that people can be multi-faceted and I am one of those people. I think that with Hit Me Hard and Soft, it's the first time since I’ve been an adult and maybe ever in my creative life — it truly is the most genuine thing I’ve ever made. It feels very, very me."

Anyway! Vibe out to her Colbert performance riiight here. 🕺🕺🕺
