As Pat Sajak leaves Wheel of Fortune behind, he is making sure new host Ryan Seacrest feels welcomed into the family.

In a new promo video for season 42 of the long-running series, Sajak, 77, shows Seacrest, 49, onto set. Alongside co-host Vanna White, Seacrest looks around his soon-to-be place of work.

“Well, this is it, Ryan, what do you think?” Sajak asks the television presenter.

“Impressive, Pat,” Seacrest responds.

Sajak, seemingly happy to be passing the torch after 41 years on the show, tells Seacrest that “the contestants are going to love you.”

Agreeing, Sajak tells his successor about the positive experiences he has had hosting.

“People love this show — they come up every day and thank us for a half hour where they can watch it with the whole family,” he shares.

“Well, you both make it look so easy,” Seacrest says.

As the clip comes to an end, Sajak prepares to retire from the position for Seacrest to take over.

“You're never going to find a better job and you're never going to find a better co-host,” he says, gesturing at close friend White, who has signed on to stay for the 2025-2026 season.

Sajak’s final episode aired on June 7 after starting the hosting gig in 1981. Seacrest later posted a sweet message for his predecessor on Instagram, complimenting the standards Sajak set for the role.

“Pat, congratulations on an incredible run with Wheel of Fortune!” Seacrest began his caption alongside a photograph of himself, Sajak and White.

“Your dedication, charm, and wit have made the show a beloved part of American television for decades," he continued. "Your partnership with Vanna has been nothing short of iconic, and together, you’ve created countless wonderful memories for viewers.”
