Demi Moore Goes Sculptural in Harris Reed Dress With 3D Thorns and Wallpaper Flowers at Mat Gala 2024

Demi Moore walked the red carpet at the Met Gala 2024 celebrating “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion” at The Metropolitan Museum of Art on Monday in New York City in a larger-than-life look from Harris Reed.

The “Songbird” actress arrived in a sculptural gown, designed in a large-scale floral print, that used hidden boning and additional structural support to create a corset-like bodice that extended into a three-dimensional rounded neckline. Additionally, the same technique was applied to the skirt, balancing the weight of the garment’s upper half with an exaggerated hourglass silhouette.

Moore’s dress was revealed to have been constructed from repurposed vintage wallpaper, a nod to the designer’s consistent use of sustainable materials as he develops his brand. Another example of Harris Reed’s dedication to integrating environmental best practices into the fashion industry is the brand’s spring 2022 collection, which was made entirely from donated Oxfam clothes.

The star kept her styling clean and classic, tossing her long dark tresses behind her shoulders in a sharp middle part and implementing the same shade of petal pink from her dress’ pattern into her makeup look. Additionally, Moore accessorized using several pieces of diamond jewelry including a large necklace and matching pair of earrings.

Moore regularly works with stylist Brad Goreski when dressing for red carpet premieres and events. In fact, the pair were recently featured within the pages of The Hollywood Reporter’s Power Stylists issue alongside Kollin Carter and client Cardi B; Dara Allen and client Hunter Schafer; and Warren Alfie Baker and client Glen Powell, among others.

Celebrating the issue, Moore attended The Hollywood Reporter’s Power Stylists dinner in March of this year while sporting a white Schiaparelli dress and accessorizing with a chunky gold trompe-l’oeil eye-shaped necklace both from the brand’s spring 2024 ready-to-wear collection.
