Explosions Heard in Khartoum North, Despite Ceasefire Renewal

Explosions were reported by witnesses in an industrial area of Khartoum North, Sudan, on April 28, following an agreement between rival groups to extend a ceasefire for another 72 hours.

Footage provided to Storyful shows smoke rising in the Light Industrial Area of North Khartoum, just north of Sudan’s capital.

The source told Storyful they heard explosions nearby at around 8:30 am. Another person tweeted about waking up to the sound of explosions in the area.

Storyful has not confirmed the cause of the explosions.
