Guinaifen is here! Honkai: Star Rail unveils new 4-star Fire Nihility character
Guinaifen wields the Fire element and follows the Path of Nihility, so we expect her kit to revolve around the Burn damage-over-time debuff.
After drip marketing Jingliu and Topaz as the new 5-star characters coming in Honkai: Star Rail version 1.4, developer HoYoverse has revealed that the update will also feature a new 4-star character: Guinaifen!
Guinaifen wields the Fire element and follows the Path of Nihility, meaning her kit will be focused on applying debuffs to enemies.
Since she's a Fire character, we expect her kit to revolve around the Burn damage-over-time debuff, which should also make her a viable partner for the Stellaron Hunter Kafka!

Also, Guinaifen isn't actually her real name, it's Guinevere!
She was an outworlder that ended up residing in the Xianzhou Luofu by accident, and became a street performer there. Along the way, she befriended the amateur Cloud Knight Sushang, who gave her a Xianzhou name.
As someone who adores Xianzhou culture, Guinaifen was able to make a living for herself by learning skills like eating noodles upside down, smashing a large stone upon the chest of others, and catching projectiles with her bare hands as part of her acts as a street performer.
This aspect of Guinaifen's personality can also be seen in her first appearance in the Hunt Light Cone 'Subscribe for More!', where she is seen streaming one of her performances with Sushang through a phone attached to a selfie stick.
Apparently the Xianzhou Luofu has influencer culture similar to what we have in the real world, who could have guessed?
Guinaifen will be the new 4-star character making her debut in Honkai: Star Rail version 1.4 alongside the 5-stars Jingliu and Topaz.
Since both Guinaifen and Topaz are Fire characters, we expect them to be running together. Honkai: Star Rail version 1.4 is expected to be released in early October.
Honkai: Star Rail is currently in the second half of version 1.2, featuring the beautiful Stellaron Hunter Kafka as the featured 5-star. After version 1.2 comes 1.3, which will be released on 30 August and features Imbibitor Lunae and Fu Xuan as new 5-star characters as well as Lynx Landau as the new 4-star.
