Twitter index: Happy Jonas Day, The Wanted appear on 'Daybreak'

Tweeps have declared today “Happy Jonas Day” and are singing the praises of the American boy band.

“7 years. 100+ songs. 5 albums. 42+ awards. 10 million+ albums sold. 36+ Gold and Platinum Certifications. Millions of fans. Happy JonasDay,” say Tweeps who are also encouraging their followers to “RT if you will always support the JonasBrothers no matter what.”

British-Irish boyband The Wanted have appeared on British breakfast television program Daybreak Monday morning causing a storm of tweets on the microbloggs.

A flurry of “Daybreak” posts hit the microblogs after the TV program tweeted, “The boys from The Wanted are in the studio & we've already spotted some very dedicated fans outside! Tweet your Qs.”

Twitter users are showing off their perverse side with the top two terms “If I Had a Gun” and “#RejectedFuneralHomeNames” and the phrase “Yo Momma.”

Lyrically-minded Tweeps are penning 140 character song lyrics in the style of American rapper 2 Chainz with the term “#What2ChainzWouldSay.”

The name of Turkish football player “İbrahim Akın” is in seventh place,” Kenya’s “NHIF” (National hospital insurance fund) is in eighth place, and “Thurnis Haley,” a character from the American sketch comedy TV show Loiter Squad is in fifth place.
