Earlier, SBS Transit said that service on the North East Line had been delayed due to a train fault at Little India Station, and commuters going in the direction of HarbourFront could expect about 15 additional minutes of train travel time.
The transport operator originally announced the delay on social media at 7.35am.
Wednesday’s train delay comes on the back of another train delay on the East West Line on Monday. That delay, which also occurred during the morning commute, took transport operator SMRT about three hours to resolve.
