Rupert Murdoch wed for the fifth time on June 1, 2024.

The Fox and News Corp chairman, 93, married Elena Zhukova, 67, a retired scientist who he reportedly met through his third wife.

The couple was first linked in August 2023 as they were spotted vacationing on a superyacht in the Mediterranean, in photos obtained by The Daily Mail. Murdoch and Zhukova's engagement was announced in March 2024, along with reports that the pair would marry in June.

The union marks the media mogul's fifth marriage and sixth proposal, following a called-off engagement to ex-fiancée Ann Lesley Smith two weeks after his proposal to her in March 2023.

Murdoch first tied the knot in 1956 at age 25 to Patricia Booker, with whom he welcomed his firstborn child in 1958. He then wed Anna Maria Torv in 1967, Wendi Deng in 1999 and Jerry Hall in 2016.

Over the course of his various marriages, Murdoch — who announced his retirement as chairman of Fox and News Corps in September 2023 — has welcomed six children in total.

Elena Zhukova is a retired molecular biologist

Since leaving Russia in 1991, Elena Zhukova has lived in America for over three decades. She worked as a molecular biologist, which led her to study diabetes at institutions such as the University of California in Los Angeles.

She and Rupert Murdoch met through a mutual friend

Zhukova and Murdoch reportedly met through his third wife Wendi Deng, The Hollywood Reporter and The New York Times report. The billionaire mogul and Deng were married for 14 years before divorcing in 2013.

Deng is an entrepreneur, investor, movie producer and art collector currently based out of Southampton, New York, according to her Instagram bio. Her friends described her to The New York Times as "a world-class networker, collecting powerful friends and brokering connections."

Elena Zhukova married Rupert Murdoch at his California estate

Zhukova and Murdoch tied the knot at his California estate in June 2024, a few months after news of their engagement was made public in March 2024.

The ceremony took place at the mogul's vineyard and estate, Moraga, on June 1, according to The Sun. Zhukova wore a form-fitting, mid-length white Emilia Wickstead dress with a square neckline, while Murdoch kept it classic in a black suit with a white button-down shirt and a pale yellow tie.

Photographs of the newlywed couple were captured on their wedding day. In one of the images, Murdoch and Zhukova posed with their arms wrapped around each other. In another, they sat on a set of chairs while outdoors.

Several "high-powered" people were in attendance at the event, reported The Daily Mail. Among them included New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft and News Corp chief executive Robert Thompson.

She was previously married

Zhukova was previously married to Russian oil billionaire Alexander Zhukov, according to BBC. The New York Times reports that Zhukova met her first husband — who is now a British citizen — when both were students in the Soviet Union. Per the outlet, the scientist and her first husband were together for three years before they split.

She is the mother of Dasha Zhukova

During their marriage, Zhukova and Alexander welcomed one child together, their daughter Dasha Zhukova, in 1981. Dasha is a Russian socialite who works as a philanthropist and entrepreneur.

She was previously married to Russian oligarch and former Chelsea FC owner Roman Abramovich for 10 years before they announced their separation in August 2017, per Page Six. Together, they share two children.

In July 2019, Dasha got engaged to Stavros Niarchos, the son of Greek billionaire Philip Niarchos, and they eventually tied the knot in January 2020 in St. Moritz. In March 2021, the couple welcomed their first child together, a baby boy.
