Sarah Jessica Parker Beams on Set of “And Just Like That” as She Reunites with John Corbett

The pair's love story has spanned two series plus a movie

And just like that... Carrie Bradshaw and Aidan Shaw are back together again — we hope!

Sarah Jessica Parker, 59, and John Corbett, 63, who portray the And Just Like That... characters, respectively, were spotted filming together in New York City on the set of the Max series.

The pair, whose characters have dated off and on since their Sex and the City days, appeared to be back on — smiling and laughing as cameras and crew members surrounded them.

When fans last saw the two on the series, Bradshaw and Shaw had decided to give move in together into a new New York home together following Aidan's divorce.

However, before they could get their relationship going, Shaw needed to leave the city for at least five years to support his youngest son, Wyatt, who had been having issues with his father not being present.

The season 2 finale ended with him and Bradshaw having a romantic night together before Shaw left to be with his family.

News of the series being renewed for a season three was shared just before the final episode.

Corbett’s character was known to fans as Bradshaw’s second great love following the death of her husband, Mr. Big (Chris Noth), in season one of AJLT.

In June, Parker opened up to PEOPLE about what it was like working with Corbett again.

“It's great to be in [John's] company again,” she told PEOPLE exclusively. “I've been pretty public about how much I love him and how easy he is to work with, how skilled he is at what he does. He makes it look easy, but it's real work.”

“He always just makes Aidan grow from the page in a way that only he can do,” she added. “It just felt really comfortable and happy.”

Writer and director Michael Patrick King also spoke to PEOPLE about bringing her former flame back on.

“I just know it's important to [Parker]. It's also important to the audience because they have feelings about Aidan. And it's exciting from a writing point of view, because half the audience was [for] Aidan, half the audience was team Big,” he said.

Earlier this month, Parker let fans know that season three of AJLT was on the way.

“Here. We. Go. X, SJ,” she captioned a May 1 Instagram post. The upload included a picture of two scripts from a table read dated April 30.

Parker's SATC costars, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon, known to fans as Charlotte and Miranda, were tagged in the post. The Hocus Pocus star also included AJLT... newbies like Nicole Ari Parker, Sarita Choudhury and Katerina Tannenbaum.

Seasons 1 and 2 of And Just Like That... are now streaming on Max.
