Taylor Swift has two famous faces in her new “Fortnight” music video who also have experience with poets.

The official video was released on Friday, April 19, and features Post Malone, as he also sings on the track. "Fortnight" is the first single from Swift's 11th studio album, The Tortured Poets Department, which was also released on Friday.

In the completely black-and-white production, the 14-time Grammy winner, 34, wakes up and finds herself chained to a bed in what seems to be a mental asylum.

“I was ‘sposed to be sent away, but they forgot to come and get me,” she sings.

A staff member walks in and gives her a pill to take and unlocks her handcuffs, and Swift begins to wipe her face. This reveals a variety of tattoos, much like the ones normally seen on the “LEVII’S JEANS” hitmaker, 28.

The scene cuts to her joining Malone in a room full of typewriters. “I love you, it’s ruining my life" appears on her paper.

After a brief romantic sequence that shows the two singers on an empty road as sheets of paper swirl about, enter Ethan Hawke and Josh Charles.

The Dead Poets Society actors are scientists working in a lab as Swift is hooked to an upright table reminiscent of a scene from Frankenstein. Hawke, 53, and Charles, 52, check her vitals and read paperwork before giving the star a major shock.

Malone also returns for the lab scene as a scientist, except he’s the only one who cuts in and saves Swift.

Swift posted several photos from the video on Instagram, including a special mention of the actors. "Tortured poets, meet your colleagues from down the hall, the dead poets," she wrote.

"'Todd” & “Knox' from DEAD POETS SOCIETY are now PhDs in THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT. It’s quite an honor," Hawke wrote on Instagram. "Thank you @taylorswift for the opportunity to be in the music video for your song FORTNIGHT feat. @postmalone. carpe diem!"

Charles also shared a photo from the set, adding, "I’ve admired Taylor for a long time, but meeting her in person took my fandom to a whole new level. Genuine, kind, approachable, and just an all around stellar human being - Not to mention a kick a-- director to boot!"

In an October 2022 interview with The Line of Best Fit, Maya Hawke revealed that her famous father is indeed a Swiftie.

"My dad was such a powerful creative influence on me musically, he showed me so many songs and artists that I still listen to, and love and care about," the Stranger Things actress told the outlet.

"It took me a long while to be able to show him something he didn't already know about. 'Ours' was the first Taylor Swift song that I played for him on guitar. He was like, 'Who wrote that?', and I was like, 'Taylor Swift!'"

"He told me he thought it was a really good song, and I was like, 'Oh my God, I just brought something to my dad that he didn't know and he likes – and I like!'" she continued. "It made me feel so confident."

Maya added that she and her dad went to see the pop star on her Speak Now tour, calling it "such a happy moment, sharing an experience with someone who put so much energy into cultivating my taste."

According to the actress, Ethan even texted Maya when Swift announced Midnight.

“He was like, 'Oh my God, Taylor Swift already has a new record coming out? I'm so excited! She re-released Red, and now there's Midnight? How does she do it?'" she recalled during the interview.
