Usher Rocks All-Black 2024 Met Gala Fit — Complete with a Long Cape and Red Rose!

The R&B star opted for some sequins and a splash of red during his latest Met Gala appearance

Usher fans might be saying "OMG" while checking out his latest 2024 Met Gala fit!

On Monday, May 6, the 45-year-old R&B superstar posed for photos in an all-black outfit with a splash of red, as he opted for a massive cape and matching black hat at the annual event.

The hitmaker's look meshed sequins with poise, as he was seen rocking a sparkly black suit underneath his cape, along with a black leather hat, plenty of decorative rings, a ruby in his ear and a bright red rose in his hand.

Usher's suit jacket also had a fun hidden detail — roses that could be seen peeking out from underneath his cape.

It's been a big 2024 for Usher, who secretly wed wife Jenn Goicoechea in an intimate Las Vegas ceremony in February 2024. The couple share two children, Sovereign, 3, and Sire, 2. The singer also shares sons Usher V, 16, and Naviyd, 15, with his ex-wife Tameka Foster.

Usher and Goicoechea headed to Vegas Weddings' drive-thru tunnel The Fast Lane right after he headlined the Super Bowl LVIII halftime show. Ahead of the “Yeah” singer’s Super Bowl show, he graced the cover of Vogue, where he discussed how he was preparing for the epic 13-minute performance.

The coveted gig came shortly after Usher had ended a 100-show residency in Las Vegas.

“The fact that I had this opportunity and someone who was in the position chose to give me the opportunity to entertain the world and do what I love to do after having such an incredible year here, specifically in Las Vegas, it feels so amazing,” Usher told PEOPLE a few days before the 2024 Super Bowl. “I feel honored, proud.”

The 2024 Met Gala’s theme of “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion” ties into the upcoming Costume Institute exhibit that will feature approximately 250 items — including 15 significant pieces such as an 1877 Charles Frederick Worth silk satin ball gown — that span over 400 years of history.

Usher attended the 2023 Met Gala in a black suit by Bianca Saunders and accessorized with Lorraine Schwartz jewels, gloves and Christian Louboutin loafers.
