Workshop damaged after accidental overnight fire

A large commercial workshop fire has been extinguished in Devon, the fire service say.

The blaze, on the outskirts of Exeter near Poltimore, started at about 02:30 BST on Wednesday.

A spokesperson for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue said six fire engines had attended the single storey property.

An update issued at 05:50 BST confirmed the fire had been extinguished with the building suffering 30% damage.

An adjacent property suffered 50% and the cause was listed as accidental.
