$1.2b in GST vouchers, Medisave top-ups for 1.57m Singaporeans
About 1.57 million Singaporeans will get $1.2 billion in GST vouchers and Medisave top-ups, said the Ministry of Finance (MOF) on Tuesday (27 June).
A total of 1.37 million eligible Singaporeans will receive up to $500 in cash, which will come in the form of a payment of up to $300 in August and a special one-off payment in November.
About 450,000 Singaporeans aged 65 and above will also get a Medisave top-up of up to $450 in August. Singaporeans born on or before 31 December 1959 who do not qualify for Pioneer Generation benefits will get a Medisave top-up of up to $200 in 2017 and 2018. This will be credited into eligible Singaporeans’ Medisave accounts in August.
In addition, pioneers will receive their Pioneer Generation top-ups of between $200 to $800 in July.
