Navia funds incoming, Travelers! Genshin Impact will be giving all players free 800 Primogems after the game was nominated to the Best Ongoing Game category at this year's The Game Awards on Friday (8 December).
According to the announcement by Genshin Impact developer HoYoverse, the 800 Primogems will be distributed in batches of 200 from 9 to 12 December and can be claimed at any time before the end of Genshin Impact version 4.2. The Primogem is Genshin Impact's premium in-game currency that is used to acquire new characters and weapons.

Genshin Impact was nominated for the Best Ongoing category alongside Apex Legends, Cyberpunk 2077, Final Fantasy XIV, and Fortnite. Cyberpunk 2077 went on to win the award.
Aside from the Best Ongoing category, Genshin Impact also reached the final round of voting for the fan-voted Player's Choice award alongside Baldur's Gate 3, Cyberpunk 2077, Marvel's Spider-Man 2, and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Baldur's Gate 3 went on to win the Player's Choice award and five other accolades, including Game of the Year.
Despite not winning anything at this year's The Game Awards, Genshin Impact did win the PlayStation Partner Awards 2023 Grand Award earlier this month. That marked the third-straight year that the game won the Grand Award for PlayStation's annual Partner Awards.
Genshin Impact players also received 800 Primogems for that award, bringing the total number of free Primogems received by players this award season to 1,600 — enough for a 10-pull. Good timing too, as version 4.3 is coming up with a new 5-star character in Navia.
Genshin Impact is not the only HoYoverse game to claim accolades this award season. Honkai: Star Rail was named this year's Best Mobile Game at The Game Awards and also won the Game of the Year award from the Google Play and Apple App Store awards.
As a result, Honkai: Star Rail players were rewarded with a total of 2,400 Stellar Jade, the game's version of Primogems.
Genshin Impact is currently in the second half of version 4.2, which features reruns for Cyno and Kamisato Ayato. If you're turn on whether or not you should pull on their banners, we've got you covered.
After version 4.2 comes version 4.3, which features the debuts of Navia and Chevreuse.
