Wong Jing slams director for exploiting his daughter
23 Aug – Wong Jing was recently enraged upon finding out that his daughter Ada Wong has been offered to star in a film that requires nude performance.
According to Mingpao News, it was reported that director Lawrence Lau has offered Ada a role in his new movie, which was revealed to have nudity scenes.
Upon hearing the news, Wong Jing turned to his Weibo account and slammed the production. "Last week, a guy invited my daughter to make a movie as he said he thinks highly of her. He then said that the character requires nudity."
"When the girl got there, the reporters were already swarming and putting her in the headlines before she even said yes," Wong continued.
The Hong Kong director, who himself is known for opting heavy flavours in his films, stated that while he doesn't object to being sexy in movies, he is angered that the production is just using the fact that Ada is his daughter to publicise their film.
"Son, I have known that trick since I was eight, so don't come near me," said Wong Jing, who even threatened to raise hell if such a thing happened again.
