Cat Girl supremacy
Move aside Keqing, Kirara’s a true cat girl through and through, it’s evident with her twin tails! But besides her cute appearance, Kirara is a formidable 4-star Dendro character, the first from the region of Inazuma.
Kirara is a cat youkai (nekomata) who loves her job as a courier for the Komaniya Express. She has a deep appreciation and affection for human society, so much like Itto (who is also a youkai), she tends to integrate herself amongst the regular folk.
Kirara is a Dendro sword user and shielder whose kit focuses on supporting your party with her area-of-effect Dendro DMG, which will make her valuable in teams focusing on Dendro-related reactions.
Her shielding capability will base off of her max HP. In addition, her skill lets her turn into a cute cat-in-a-box creature that can climb up walls to help with exploration!
Yoimiya, Yae, Kazuha, and Alhaitham get reruns
With no new 5-stars coming in version 3.7, its character banners will feature four reruns for Yoimiya, Yae Miko, Kaedehara Kazuha, and Alhaitham.
Yoimiya and Yae Miko will be featured in the version's first half, along with Kirara, while Kazuha and Alhaitham will be in the second.
Yoimiya is a Pyro bow user that excels against single targets with her normal attacks. Her skill empowers her normal attacks by infusing them with Pyro while her burst increases the damage dealt by her other party members.
Meanwhile, Yae Miko is an Electro catalyst user that can summon a trio of turrets to unleash a storm upon her enemies. The Guuji of Inazuma's Grand Narukami shrine uses her skill to summon up to three fox turrets that attack nearby foes. She can then use her burst to unleash powerful lightning bolts, which gets stronger if her turrets are on the field.
Miko has only gotten stronger since the release of Dendro and its myriad of reactions, so she's a good pick if you want a strong Electro character in your Dendro teams.
But if you're looking for a strong Dendro carry, then look no further than Alhaitham, who will be getting his first rerun in version 3.7. Alhaitham is a Dendro sword user who brings both brains and brawn to the battlefield, dishing out Dendro-infused attacks with his skill and burst that also helps drive Dendro-related reactions.
Finally, Kaedehara Kazuha (the true Anemo Archon) will also be getting his second rerun in version 3.7! Kazuha is an Anemo sword user who is a must-have for any hypercarry team, as he greatly buffs any elemental damage dealt by his teammates with his burst.
What events are coming in Genshin Impact version 3.7?
The main event for version 3.7 will be centred on the King of Invokations Grand Prix, featuring plenty of sub-events for both veteran and casual Genius Invokation TCG players!
Card players of all levels can attend the unofficial tourney 'Zero Hour Invokation' and duel with selected cards.
Meanwhile, 'Evermotion Mechanical Painting' or 'Heart of the Dice' incorporate elements of Genius Invokation TCG with past events, with the former requiring players to restore card illustrations from complex and disordered mechanics and gears while the latter is a combat challenge where random Elemental Dice can be obtained to unleash special skills.
But for Travelers who don't aren't as into Genius Invokation TCG as Cyno, 'A Tour of Wonders' is a more casual mini-game they can explore and collect commemorative stamps at checkpoints to exchange for rewards.
By participating in the King of Invokations Grand Prix, players can win Invokation Coupons to redeem rewards, including the free 4-star bow 'Ibis Piercer' and its refinement materials.
Other events in version 3.7 include Divine Ingenuity: Collector's Chapter, Feast of the Departed Warriors, and Fayz Trials: Hypothesis.
Yoimiya Story Quest part 2 and Kaveh Hangout
While version 3.7 will not include any new quests to advance the game's main story, it does feature a new Story Quest chapter for Yoimiya as well as a new Hangout for Kaveh.
Yoimiya will notably be the first non-Archon character to receive a second chapter for her Story Quest, which will see her travel from Inazuma all the way to Sumeru.
The only characters to have two chapters for their Story Quests before Yoimiya were Zhongli, the Raiden Shogun, and Nahida, who are the Archons for Geo, Electro, and Dendro. This does leave us wondering, when are we getting chapter two of Venti's Story Quest?
Meanwhile, Kaveh becomes the third Sumeru 4-star character to get a Hangout! The star of the Kshahrewar Darshan (and Alhaitham's roommate) joins fellow Sumeru Akademiya scholars Faruzan and Layla as the three 4-stars from their region to receive Hangouts.
Our first glimpses of Fontaine
While there's plenty of things to be excited for in version 3.7, HoYoverse has also given us our first glimpses into the next region the Traveler will go to in their journey across Teyvat: Fontaine.
During the preview livestream, the first-ever playable character from Fontaine was revealed: Charlotte!
This pink-haired, camera-toting journalist is a reporter for The Steambird, the main newspaper of Fontaine, who will be covering the King of Invokations Grand Prix. She is seen wielding a Cryo vision, so we can expect her to be a playable character once Fontaine is released.
And while HoYoverse has not yet unveiled what Fontaine looks like, the developer did show Travelers what to expect in terms of gameplay in the new region.
A short teaser at the end of the livestream showed the Traveler swimming underwater, which hints that players could soon be able to dive underwater and explore a whole new world (pun intended)! Could this be Fontaine itself, or could it be the next summer event?
